SK2625 : Workshop at Claymills Pumping Station

taken 13 years ago, near to Stretton, Staffordshire, England

Workshop at Claymills Pumping Station
Workshop at Claymills Pumping Station
A wonderful preservation gem, the forge here is a complete working 1900s workshop. When things were mechanical!
The belt drives are driven by a Vernon & Guest engine in the right hand corner (electric if not in steam). There are drills, lathes, saws and grinders to name a few. There is also a forge with a steam hammer next door.
