Glenduckie Hill view to the SW
Glenduckie Hill view to the SW
At just 218mts AMSL this hill is not big but it stands at the western edge of a small line of such hills and give superb views out over much of North Fife and Southern Perth shire. Near its summit there are remains of an ancient settlement and hill fort.

This is the view to the SW towards the Lomonds, East on the left and West on the right. West Lomond also had a hill fort and it's easy to see how messages could be passed quickly by beacons or smoke signals in time of trouble. Higham farm and cottages at the foot of the hill with Lindores at the foot of the smaller hill in the middle distance.
