TQ8632 : GWR 1638 at Rolvenden Station

taken 19 years ago, near to Tenterden, Kent, England

GWR 1638 at Rolvenden Station
GWR 1638 at Rolvenden Station
Train from Tenterden on the Kent and East Sussex Railway.
The passing loop at Rolvenden is in front of the signal box, away from the station platform. The locomotive depot is off-picture to the left.
The locomotive is a GWR designed pannier tank introduced in 1949 (post-nationalisation). Hence, the Great Western Railway livery may never have appeared on this locomotive during its BR days?
