Frozen Bangor Marina

The 8th January 2010 was exceptionally cold in Bangor - see J5082 : Slipway, Bangor harbour - but I suspect the night of 21st/22nd December was even colder. This is a picture of the marina on the morning of the 22nd - a large amount of the water in the marina had frozen and apparently the ice in places was 4 inches thick. See also Link

for related images of the marina. Elsewhere snow lay thick on the ground - between the 16th and 19th December around 6 inches fell on the town centre.
