The ILV 'Granuaile' in Bangor Bay
A night view of the 'Granuaile', tender of the Commissioners of Irish Lights (CIL), which is seen here at anchor in Bangor Bay for the night. CIL is the body that serves as the lighthouse authority for all of the island of Ireland (north and south) plus its adjacent seas and islands. Various red and yellow buoys can be seen on board the ship. 'Granuaile' was built at Galatz Shipyard, Romania in 2000 and is registered in Dublin. She has a length overall of 79.6 m, a beam of 15.99 m and a gross tonnage of 2625.
