SD7678 : Ribblehead station before reopening

taken 38 years ago, near to Ribblehead, North Yorkshire, England

Ribblehead station before reopening
Ribblehead station before reopening
At the time of this photo (1986) the station was closed and somewhat derelict; in fact the whole Settle-Carlisle line was under threat of closure. The photo was taken from a northbound passenger train. Both the line and this station are now thriving. For a similar view after reopening see the First Geograph for this square SD7678 : Ribblehead..
