Pilsbury Castle Hills
Pilsbury Castle - a Norman earthwork motte and bailey fortress, founded to defend the ancient river crossing of the River Dove. A large low motte encased by a ditch, with the inner bailey still retaining its rubble-built rampart and an unusual rocky outcrop.
