Galloway Uniflow Engine
This engine ran in the Hovis bread factory. This engine is technically advanced for its age, being a uniflow LinkExternal link.
The governor, rotating crankshaft and rotary trip shutoff mechanism can be seen here.
Me and Chris had watched the engineer start this machine, starting it required good timing to keep up with the engine and increase its speed.
