Sculpture, Belfast
One of two sculptures erected on the Tate's Avenue bridge in Belfast. Created as part of the 'Re-imaging Communities' initiative and designed by artist David Dudgeon, this one depicts a woman operating a mangle.
Tate's Avenue bridge, Belfast
Tate’s Avenue originally crossed the GNR(I)’s Belfast – Dublin railway by a level crossing. The section of the line between Belfast and Lisburn opened in 1839. The present bridge replaced the level crossing.
