SU1678 : The Road to Hackpen

taken 18 years ago, near to Overtown, Swindon, England

The Road to Hackpen
The Road to Hackpen
This dead end road winds past many agricultural buildings, through arable in all directions. A few hamlets are scattered around. On the far distant hill to the south is Barbury Castle, an old Iron Age hill fort. The barns visible dead centre of the image are not marked on the OS map, but are situated where the footpath joins the road, just south of the streams.
