Havoc Hole
This photograph shows a cave called Havoc Hole; it has other names (see the end-note). It appears as a dark area on the right, where it is set into a crag; the latter is, in origin, a raised beach. For more information about the cave, see NS3875 : Havoc Hole.

The houses in the background, on the left, are in NS3775 : Westcliff. The building visible below them, at the edge of the playing fields, is Havoc Sports Pavilion.
Havoc Hole (cave)

This cave, also known as Wallace's Cave, Dumbarton Cave, or Havock Hole (the authentic older spelling), is a feature of a raised beach, about 450 metres from the present-day Clyde shoreline at Havoc, Dumbarton. The area takes its name from Havock, a farmstead which was located at NS37937541, close to the shore. See a Geograph article Link for more on the cave.
