My understanding that is that this stretch of existing dual carriageway (with what seems to be narrower than usual lanes) will also be widened with better provision for traffic turning right. The Knock Road widening, Belfast

The Knock Road forms part of the Belfast outer ring road. The proposal to widen just under one mile (north from the Glen Road) was confirmed at the end of 2009. There will be demolition and a public enquiry seems likely. This series of photographs appears as a matter of record only. It does not represent any views for or against the proposal.
