Weir and cross-harbour links, Belfast (22)
See J3474 : Weir and cross-harbour links, Belfast (21). This view has changed considerably in the intervening 20 years. I had to cross-check my notes with the street map. Tomb Street is on the right, Gamble Street is on the left. The redbrick building (middle top – now demolished) was the “Liverpool Bar”, Donegall Quay. The entire scene is in the background in the link (21). Continue to J3474 : Weir and cross-harbour links, Belfast (23).
Building the Lagan weir and cross-harbour bridges, Belfast

A collection of photographs showing the building of the Lagan weir and the cross-harbour road and railway bridges in the early 1990’s. There are also some earlier shots of the pre-impounding River Lagan, of Donegall and Queen’s Quays, the Abercorn Basin and of the immediate area before demolition.
