Reprofiling the beach: Borth sea defences
Reprofiling the beach: Borth sea defences
A photo looking north from in front of the slipway shows nothing on the beach that would be recognisable to anyone familiar with the village. Huge piles of shale, giant boulders, inlets where none naturally exist and the sad pile of timber (middle right) that comprises the remains of the groynes which have characterised the beach for generations crowd each other out in a chaotic scene.
