SD5040 : Aqueduct over River Brock

taken 13 years ago, near to Bilsborrow, Lancashire, England

Aqueduct over River Brock
Aqueduct over River Brock
The aqueduct carries the Lancaster Canal over the River Brock - it is interesting because the 2 waterways are at similar levels on the east of the canal but the river is dropped a couple of metres by means of a weir, the bottom of which is visible through the arch, in order to pass under the canal.
