Ranworth Broad
The broads were excavated in Mediaeval times to extract peat for fuel. The pits flooded creating broads, linked by rivers. The area is now a national park.

The Cator family gave Ranworth Broad to NWT in 1949. NWT’s Patron the Queen opened the Broads Wildlife Centre in 1976. The trust run electric boat trips for those wishing to see the broad. A great view is also had from the floating visitor centre.
