Giant butterbur is often found along riverbanks J3167 : Giant butterbur, Edenderry. This clump was growing beside the Glas-na-Bradan river.

A small glen, along the banks of the Glas-na-Bradan river, running from the Shore Road at Whitehouse to near the Valley Leisure Centre, on the Church Road, Carnmoney. The river is not on its original course having been diverted to provide power for an 18th century cotton mill.
