A view of one of the stone nuts running off the great spur wheel. To the right of that the drive for a water pump downstairs can be seen.
Hinxton Watermill

Hinxton Watermill is a 17th C watermill in the Cambridgeshire village of Hinxton. Powered by the river Cam is a small J C Wilson & Co turbine that replaced a undershot wheel in 1914. Inside are three sets of stones, one pair working and producing flour (demonstration only). Also of interest is a Birmingham built Tangye water pump. Run by the Cambridge Preservation Society and open for several days a year.
