taken 7 years ago, 7 km from Donaghadee, Northern Ireland

Mew Island
Mew Island
The southern tip of Mew Island as seen from Lighthouse Island. There appears to be two landing stages here, making a total of three available on this small island, presumably to try and ensure a safe landing was available depending on the wind direction.
Mew Island, Copeland Islands near Donaghadee :: J6086

One of the Copeland Islands, with an area of 31 acres, off the coast of north east Co Down. The name reputedly comes from the sea mews (gulls) which nest there.
