A stronghouse, typically of the early C17, it's marked on the 1841 OS 6-inch map as 'Grange Ho. (in ruins)'. Similar to the C17 house at Derrin, it too has no discernible defensive features. A T-plan house of two storeys plus an attic in the SE gable, it's constructed of limestone rubble and situated in the townland of Grangebeg. It was built by John Piggot who was killed in the Catholic rising of 1641.
