Tidal channel
Tidal channel
Water is draining fast from this shallow inlet, which almost cuts off the land seen in the left of the image. It is called Inishnagor, but is not actually an island as a neck of green connects to the mainland. Field walls can be seen, but not the sheep which were the only inhabitants. In the far distance, the mountains of Slieve Liag can be seen over the dunes of Back Strand G6551 : Sand dunes.
