This bridge was part of the Dundalk and Enniskillen Railway, the first section of which was opened in 1849 and ran between Dundalk & Castleblayney. This part of the line made stops at Inniskeen and Blackstaff. The line closed in 1957. The bridge is adjacent to the N53 Dundalk/Castleblayney Road. The townland Annadrumman is dervived from the gaelic name for the locatlity 'Eanach Dromainn' which means 'marsh of the ridge'.
