Clach a'Charridh
This is a Pictish standing stone above the village of Shandwick. It was transported to Edinburgh for restoration work, and now, returned to its original site, is housed in a protective glass case. The stone is known as Clach a'Charridh, meaning - stone of the burial place. Unbaptized children were buried here in the 1800's, as were suicides.
