Old Buckenham Mill - Governor
A view of the single governor that runs just one of the stones here, there is another one that runs four in one go. The machinery here is mostly from 1818.
Old Buckenham Mill

Old Buckenham Mill is a preserved towermill built in 1818. Originally it had 8 common sails but now has four patent sails. Slightly famous in the mill world for having the largest circumference in Britain, it houses five stones. The granary next door had four pairs driven by a steam (later oil) engine. Inside is a large spur wheel bolted together in 12 parts. The mill is open several times a year.
