The bright streak is the International Space Station TM4191 : International Space Station; its glow suddenly ends as its photo-voltaic panels enter the shadow of the earth. The other fainter trail is ERS-2 or European Remote Sensing satellite (version 2). Launched on the 21st April 1995, it ran until July 2011, and a series of burns reduced height from 785km to 700km and eventually around 570km where it will be left out of the way of other units. Eventually (within 25 years) it will decrease in height and burn up. ERS-1 and -2 observed earth systems like ozone and vegetation coverage.
