20 Gardner Street
Another shop that has had a steady turnover of traders over the years, the longest tenure belong to M Rosenberg whose Brass & copper Shop traded for 24 years. Of the others the only shop that is probably remembered by anyone who lived in the town during the 1990s is the shoe shop called R Soles who I'd imagine had plenty of comedy phone calls to deal with during their four years. The current incumbents are Blue Dog, an art gallery who moved in three years ago. Interestingly numbers 20,21 and 22 all start with a colour; Blue, Red and Purple. The street trader staring me out gives holistic massages and is setting up her position ready for the Sunday crowds.
