Dozmary Pool
There are more legends about this place than you have had hot dinners. The lake
where Arthur threw Excalibur into, it is supposed to be bottomless, it was used
as a fish keep for a monastic order but where the remains of that are is not obvious and a poor soul who did some dastardly deeds in life is supposed to have had to drain it daily for eternity with a limpet shell with a hole in. One thing that is true is that there was an ice house, where the winter ice was kept and which supplied the fishermen at Looe. Whatever is true, it is a wonderful place with huge atmosphere.
