Tug and a dredger, Bangor harbour
The tug 'Ada Dorothy' LinkExternal link alongside the backhoe dredger 'Aoibheann' LinkExternal link at the Eisenhower Pier in Bangor harbour. The dredger is being used at the site of a sewerage pipe outfall at Cloghfin near Blackhead (see related images at LinkExternal link ). When the weather is calm it is towed across Belfast Lough in the early morning and, after a days work, is towed back again in the evening to spend the night at Bangor. During periods of strong winds and/or heavy seas the dredger remains at Bangor.
