The estuarial passenger/vehicle ferry “Shannon Willow” (built in Bowling in 1978) had been replaced by a larger vessel on the Tarbert – Killimer crossing of the River Shannon. At the time of the photograph she was laid up at Killimer. See also S7110 : The "Shannon Heather" at Arthurstown.
