Erected in 2011, the inscription includes the text, "This seat was built in memory of friends and neighbours who in the past gathered here at Jackie's Cross and for you to sit and rest a while and think of those who passed this way before.

I walked through Cornavarrow
As the sun was setting low
And I heard the Curlews calling
In the Curragh down below"
