NM4130 : The Wilderness

taken 14 years ago, 4 km NNW of Burgh, Isle of Mull, Argyll And Bute, Scotland

The Wilderness
The Wilderness
This is the incredibly wild and remote northern aspect of the Ardmeanach Peninsula on Mull. At its western extremity is the Fossil Tree. The walk round the entire headland is a coastal classic but not for the fainthearted! It covers extremely rough ground, crosses sections of coastal rocks at low tide & traverses vertiginous slopes at others.
