View northward, towards Shrewsbury on the former GWR line to Shrewsbury from Bewdley and Hartlebury closed in 9/63, Bridgnorth now being the northern limit of the heritage Severn Valley Railway, the line southward having been acquired by the SVR in 1965 and now - on 23/5/70 - restored for passenger traffic to Hampton Loade. The train is headed by preserved LMS Ivatt 4MT 2-6-0 No. 43106 (built 4/51, withdrawn as last of class 7/68).
