Travelling water tanks, High Peak Junction 1967
Two old loco tenders remain from their last run onto the limestone uplands to supply water to various lineside locations, and rest amongst the burgeoning rose bay willow herb. The swing bridge, over the Cromford Canal, can be seen in the distance, and the old semaphore signal is also visible at the bottom of the Sheep Pasture Incline, which commences round the corner. The actual date of the photograph is not recorded.
