Route 66 under A62
Route 66 under A62
The leaf-strewn tarmac path is the remains of the trackbed of "Leeds New Line" opened Oct. 1st. 1900 by L.N.W.R., closed 1986. Here it leads under the A62 heading for what was once Hargeaves oil depot. Now revitalised as part of the Spen Valley Greenway it forms a section of Sustrans Route 66 (Gomersal spur).
