Corrin Hill Cross
Corrin Hill Cross
Anyone driving from Dublin to Cork (or the other way too) on the newly built M8 motorway can't fail to notice this prominent land mark on Corrin Hill (day or night). It was erected in 1933 on the summit of the hill just next to a large Bronze Age cairn (which gave the hill its name, corrupted by Anglicisation).

Now floodlit at night - the older set of light bulbs that used to outline its shape at night are still in place.
