View eastward on the ex-GW London - Swindon etc. main line. Collett 4-6-0 No. 4979 'Wootton Hall' (built 2/30, withdrawn 12/63, but preserved - in 2011 is at Appleby Heritage Centre) seems to be being re-manned as it pauses on the Up Through line. [One of my earliest photographic efforts].
