Previously the entrance, from the Sydenham bypass, to the original Belfast City Airport terminal building J3775 : Former terminal building, George Best Belfast City Airport and now a lay-by, mainly used to pick up and set down airport employees. There is still an entrance to the airport, served by the internal bus, available to passengers to/from the station.

Approximately 2˝ miles of dual carriageway forming part of the Belfast – Bangor Road. It runs from the end of the M3 to Tillysburn, parallel to the Belfast – Bangor railway and also serves the George Best Belfast City Airport. It replaced the Holywood Road as the main road to Holywood and Bangor. There are plans for major improvements at the junction with Dee Street.

Originally opened in 1937 when it was built as part of the Short Brothers and Harland Limited aircraft factory. The present airport opened to scheduled passenger flights in 1983 as Belfast Harbour Airport. The terminal buildings were temporary ones – later extended and improved. The present terminal, close to the Sydenham bypass, opened in 2001.

Flybe to Aberdeen, Birmingham, Cardiff, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Exeter and Newquay, Glasgow, Inverness, Leeds/Bradford, Liverpool, London City, Manchester, Doncaster/Sheffield and Southampton.
KLM to Amsterdam.
Loganair to Carlisle.

The airport is also used by a variety of operators for business and medical flights.
