Former "Erskine House", Belfast
Much of this caption has been written from memory and might not be entirely accurate. Feel free to contact me with any more accurate information. “Erskine House” (right) was built in the 1960’s as accommodation for staff at the City Hospital. Named after Lord Erskine, fourth Governor (the Monarch’s representative) of Northern Ireland (1964/68). Subsequently sold to the private sector and an extra floor added in the late 1990’s. The present City Hospital (left) LinkExternal link post-dates it. The view is from Tate’s Avenue.
