No 17 Donegall Street, Belfast
A disused warehouse and offices at the Waring Street end of Donegall Street. In the 1960’s and early 70’s this was the wholesale and retail base for “Easons”. The wholesale part moved to suburban premises more suited to articulated lorries. The shop moved to Ann Street and, later, to Donegall Place. There is the following application (8 December 2016) for planning permission “LA04/2016/2620/F Change of use from vacant building to hotel (25 bedrooms). Single storey extension and fifth storey rooftop extension. Elevation changes. 11-17 Donegall Street Belfast BT1 2FF”.
