A vacant house and outbuildings, opposite the Glen Road, on the Hillhall Road. My understanding is that planning permission was given in September 2009 for the following “261 Hillhall Road, Hillhall (Readvertisement) Development of hotel and spa facility with associated car parking and landscaping. (Amended Scheme)” - S/2008/0304/F. This photograph appears as a matter of record only. I have no connection with any of the parties involved in the development.

The Hillhall Road (proposed widening), Lisburn

In official terms “The Department [for Regional Development] proposes to acquire the lands for a road widening scheme at B23 Hillhall Road, Lisburn.“ The scheme is a minor one involving the removal of a bend in the townlands of Lisnatrunk, Ballymullan and Hillhall roughly between the Braniel Road and the Glen Road. The road is a tertiary but sometimes busy route between Lisburn and Belfast. The photographs submitted by me appear as a matter of neutral record only.
