Helvellyn Lower Man
Around Christmas 2006 a blanket of cloud covered most of England for several days, causing chaos at Heathrow. Those who ventured above 2,000 feet were rewarded with inversions and crystal-clear skies. Looking north-west from Helvellyn Lower Man, Skiddaw and Blencathra are the only fells poking up above the clouds.
