Ancient Holy Well by the Cabra River: Dun na Ri Forest Park
Ancient Holy Well by the Cabra River: Dun na Ri Forest Park
Looking down on the Cabra River where visitors to the Forest Park have climbed down cliff steps to this riverside ledge to taste the sweet Well water and make their wish. This ancient Holy Well, which is under the trees beyond the group on the right, has been known for centuries as Tobar na Splinne, which means “the well of the cliff ledge”.
