Scolt Head Island Traverse 7: Warden's house
Scolt Head Island Traverse 7: Warden's house
This is the building used by the National Trust warden and other official visitors to the island. In the distance are Burnham Deepdale and Brancaster Staithe.

Please note: The crossing of Scolt Head Island from end to end is perfectly possible but only with careful planning and a knowledge of the tides. Do not attempt the crossing unless you are fit and know when it is low tide in the area. Cross on a falling tide and be prepared for deep mud in places at the western end.
