Galway - St Nicholas Collegiate Church - Feature #10
The Chancel (Feature #10) is one of the oldest parts of the church, including part of an older church on this site. At the left wall of the Chancel, is a 1912 Walker Organ (Feature #11) that is installed within the former St Patrick's Chapel. Before the organ was installed, church worship was accompanied by harps played by two ladies. At the top of the photo is The Crossing (Feature #8). A chamber above the crossing holds a peal of 10 bells dated 1590 to 1898.
