Castles of Munster: Ballyderown, Cork
This hall house is situated beside an agricultural institute on a cliff above the Araglin river. The walls have chamfered corners above a battered base. It is thought to have been built by the Condons C.1200-20, although it is first mentioned shortly after David Condon's murder in 1342.
