Bunratty Castle - The Main Guard - South Wall
Bunratty Castle - The Main Guard - South Wall
This vaulted great hall was once the main living room for common soldiers & the Earl's retainers, but, presently, it is utilized for medieval banquets that occur twice nightly. At the left side of this room is a dungeon with a gate. The three-course medieval banquets are highly entertaining; the Bunratty Meade Wine is always present & potent; and the food is delicious & plentiful. I've attended three of these banquets and enjoyed every one of them! View is from a balcony half way up the north wall.
