Built in 1909 for Fellows, Morton & Clayton then converted to diesel in 1925. The vessel was restored to steam power in 1974 and is now on its second boiler and engine in the preservation era.

This engine is a Sisson inverted vertical single cylinder built in 1954 as a test engine for a merchant navy training college. The cylinder is 7" x 12" and it is good for 15 horsepower at 175 rpm on steam at 150 psi. It can be operated condensing in tunnels but is normally run as a 'puffer'.
