NG7601 : Sheepfold beside Allt na Faing

taken 12 years ago, near to Aultvoulin, Highland, Scotland

Sheepfold beside Allt na Faing
Sheepfold beside Allt na Faing
This ancient, and apparently disused, massive stone built sheepfold is situated on an alluvial fan below the steep wooded gorge of the Allt na Faing (the stream itself named after the sheepfold!). The alluvial fan is well-drained and the grassy pasture stands out from the surrounding bog.
