This lane - Nailors Row - links the Unionist and Loyalist Fountain Estate enclave on the hilltop with the Nationalist Republican Bogside neighbourhood , seen in the background. Traditionally, little love has been lost between the two communities. This is underlined by the graffiti on the roadway. BRY stands for Bogside Republican Youth.
