Love it or hate it, the Chips building at the New Islington inner city regeneration area in Manchester is certainly eye-catching.
Designed by Will Alsop, Chips (Link
) is promoted by developers Urban Splash as “one of the area's most significant buildings”. The ground floor is commercial space, whilst the floors above contain 142 residential apartments. The building is surrounded by canals on three sides and canals are highlighted by the names emblazoned on the side.
